There are times when things don’t go smoothly and you may come to disagree with another person over a matter relating to a property.  If this happens you may need to engage the services of an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to act on your behalf as an Expert Witness to help resolve your dispute.  You will be able to discuss the situation in detail and you will get an independent view of the options available to you.  Your Expert Witness will. if needed, produce a comprehensive report setting out their opinions of the matter.  Should it become necessary, they will be able to follow this right through to a court appearance.  A court case would be the last resort and not something you would ever want and by consulting with an Expert Witness at an early stage you could avoid this.  It will be important to fully explore the possibilities of mediation and arbitration before booking a date in court.

Completing in the form above will instantly give you a list of Expert Witness Building Surveyors who might be able to help you.  You will see their contact details and also details of their qualifications and experience to help you make a choice.  You may wish to have a general discussion with some of them about your requirements and about their qualifications and experience before appointing one.  You will need to make sure that the supplier you have chosen has the correct level of experience, qualifications, accreditation and insurance to provide the level of service that you require.

A Chartered Building Surveyor will be a member or a fellow of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).  They will have the letters MRICS or FRICS after their name.

The above form is to help you source an Expert Witness Building Surveyor.

Customer Feedback

Please see below for some Customer Feedback on our website, and on any of the Suppliers listed on the website that they chose to use:

Very useful site , will definitely use again. Excellent service and communication , from initial contact through to full explanation of report. I liked that on the day he conducted the survey, he took the time to email me that evening with a brief outline of his findings, so I was not left wondering the outcome until the full report was available. Highly recommended service with a good price. Thank you Overall Rating: 5 - excellent
Janis, Fareham
Due to bad property luck I have had the pleasure of using David's services three times now on three different properties. He has gone above and beyond every single time with no exception. Prompt summary of the survey is followed by a thorough, in depth but easy to read report highlighting an easy to follow action plan. Any time I had additional queries or sought his advice on a matter he was more than willing to help out. A more professional yet friendly service you will not find elsewhere and I have recommended him to family and friends ever since.
Alice, Aldershot
Promptness of response : A very quick response Quality of service : Given that I only requested a Homebuyer's Report, I was surprised by the amount of detail it went into - much more comprehensive than I had expected. Value for money : Excellent value for money. Worth every penny. Professionalism : I have also spoken with the vendor of the property I am buying and he was impressed with the professionalism and openness of the surveyor. I would be very happy to recommend Cosey Homes Chartered Surveyors.
Graham, Wisbech Cambridgeshire
Jake Scraggs was the surveyor and he gave me the best and most complete, comprehensive survey ever, complete with a photograph of all the faults of this house, of which there were many. I decided not to buy this house, money well spent, thank you.
Angela, St Neots Cambridgeshire
Promptness of response : Very easy to book, and the survey took place earlier than expected. Professionalism : The surveyor called us the evening of the survey to give a verbal report. The written survey took a few days longer than we expected, but we already had the pertinent facts so it wasn't an issue.
Ms Oliver, Leeds
