Local Electricians Direct is a price comparison website relating to property services and in particular services from Electricians. This is a companion website to the Local Surveyors Direct website which offers a wide range of other services relating to property (Building Surveys, Architectural Design, Energy Performance Certificates, Estate Agents etc).
The Local Electricians Direct website will allow you to search for Electricians who cover your local area. The website is geared up to cater for a full range of services for domestic properties and in addition services for commercial properties. No job should be too big or too small, whether it is running in some extra 3 pin sockets, wiring up a new oven or rewiring a complete building. A large number of Electricians who are members of our system provide coverage over the whole country; England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
To operate the system, a customer enters their property details and immediately gets a list of possible suppliers with full contact details. The customer and the suppliers then make direct contact.
For example; a customer (Home Seller) looking for an electrical report, would enter his or her property details onto the website and would immediately be given a number of estimates from Electricians, who cover the local area. Full contact details for each supplier would also be listed and at the same time the customer’s details would be sent to the suppliers. There is no delay. The full contact details are provided immediately. The customer is then able to make direct contact with potential suppliers. This allows very fast and efficient communications and at the same time cuts out the middle man. Suppliers tend to be relatively local and hence are able to offer their services directly at very competitive rates.
The trend that we see happening is that customers are becoming more empowered to find and use suppliers who are ever more local. This means less travelling for suppliers, less traffic on the road burning up petrol and the net result is a much more environmentally friendly process, which benefits all of us. At the same time it saves money.
Customers using the website do so for free. The website is funded by the large number of suppliers who pay moderate fees to be listed in their areas.

Paul completed the work last week, he was thoroughly professional, friendly, I feel totally satisfied with the work he has carried out, the whole experience was an absolute pleasure, nothing was too much, he did the work thoroughly going beyond my expectations for the money he required to do the work.

Yes it did – to my surprise; as I have never used it before. Four of them responded; I chose local electricians –two of them visited the site, and I am going to employ both of them for two different tasks. AOS Electrical and Marks Electrical Services. Work about to be carried out next week. I was pleasantly surprised at electrician’s responses to my website enquiries. I wish if you could do the same for other trades e.g. carpenters.

I contacted the web site to find a local electrician to install a ceramis hob. I called Electricchek, I spoke to Mr Karl Hignett. He talked me through the requirements and came out the next day. I used this website after being let down by another one. They took two weeks to email/call to send advice and in the meantime I'd already had the survey done by the one from your site!
